Blue Sky Research’s VPSL™ (Virtual Point Source Laser) modules combine patented µLens™ technology with industry-standard laser diodes to produce high-power, circular, low-divergence beams with diffraction-limited quality. With fiber coupling efficiencies up to 80% into single-mode fiber, VPSLs outperform traditional laser diode setups—reducing system complexity and delivering more usable optical power in a compact form factor.
VPSL™ modules are available in 5.6 mm and 9 mm TO-can packages, ensuring easy integration into a wide range of optical systems. Standard configurations feature Ushio laser diodes. We offer a large variety of VPSL wavelengths and output powers. Custom configurations are available using diodes from other manufacturers to meet specific wavelength or output power requirements.
